The Judy Hamod Scholarship program encourages staff to consider furthering their nursing education. With educational advancement, staff will have the opportunity for promotion within the Health Centre to positions requiring additional education and/or licensure. Completion of studies will benefit both The Mount and the individual as dedicated, compassionate staff is promoted as the result of learning new skills.

Judy Hamod was a highly-valued, twenty-year member of the Mount St. Rita nursing staff having served as charge nurse, supervisor, and assistant director of nursing. Judy was an advocate for all residents and was passionate about her work, her family and her God. Judy spent her final days as a resident of The Mount. As her life came to a close much too soon, she reaped the rewards of her work training staff to be compassionate and caring. This scholarship fund honors her memory.
