Mount St. Rita Health Centre is situated atop the hill on Sumner Brown Road in the northeast community of Cumberland. Set among 240 acres of rolling hills, wooded glades and colorful gardens, our three-story brick building offers our patients and residents the beauties of the rural countryside.
Building on a tradition of excellence that has been our hallmark for more than 40 years, Mount St. Rita Health Centre offers not only the highest quality nursing and clinical care, but also an outstanding quality of life. We provide short-term rehabilitation services as part of our Mercy Rehabilitation program and long-term care, along with engaging social activities.
Legacy
Mount St. Rita Health Centre draws its inspiration and mission from the vision of Catherine McAuley, who founded the Sisters of Mercy in Dublin, Ireland, in 1831.
Since 1971, we have faithfully expressed Catherine’s call to serve the poor and the sick by providing exceptional health care with mercy, compassion and hospitality. We steward this great legacy in the tradition of Mercy and each day renew our commitment to honor and fulfill it through each person we serve.
