Mount St. Rita in Cumberland, Rhode Island, recently hosted a festive “Christmas in July” event that raised approximately $2,000 for Elves for Elders, the organization that generously provides holiday gifts for Mount St. Rita residents each Christmas.
The fundraiser brought together healthcare professionals and members of the local community in support of the cause.
“We wanted to give back to the organization for the kindness they show to our residents every year,” said Maryellen Gillis, admission director.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, the event was a great success and helped ensure Elves for Elders can continue to bring holiday joy to residents. As Maryellen shared, “A wonderful time was had by all!”
