Mount St. Rita Health Centre Welcomes New President

Mount St. Rita Health Centre, a member of Covenant Health, recently welcomed Kerry McGuinness Dzikiewicz, LHNA, as the new president of its 98-bed community, which offers short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care as well as respite, palliative and hospice care. As President, McGuinness focuses on daily operations, strategic planning and business development.

 “I’m glad to have joined this very capable team. I enjoy working closely with staff to ensure we continue to meet the very highest standards of care and compassion for all those we serve,” shares McGuinness Dzikiewicz. “I’m also proud to faithfully continue to carry out the mission of the Sisters of Mercy.”

Her proven leadership and operations experience is a great fit for the role,” says David Becker, System Vice President of Post-Acute Care, Covenant Health. “Kerry has worked in senior healthcare communities throughout Rhode Island for many years. She’s already made contributions that are appreciated by staff, residents and their families.”

Prior to joining Mount St. Rita, McGuinness served as Executive Director at Brookdale South Bay Continuing Care Retirement Community in South Kingston, R.I. and a Facility Administrator at Scandinavian Communities Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cranston, R.I. She has also worked as a contract Healthcare Compliance and Behavioral Health Specialist.

McGuinness Dzikiewicz holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I. as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Providence College in Providence, R.I. She also studied rehabilitative services at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.
